Leading an Evangelical Institution in a Polarized World | Dr. Michael Lindsay, President and Professor of Sociology at Taylor University
At some point in our lives, each of us enters a crucible experience. This is a time of intense heat and pressure which, if handled prayerfully, can become a moment of great transformation. It can also be a moment when we recommit ourselves to the work God has in store for us. For me, this moment came in 2014 when I found myself at the crossroads of my Christian faith and the shifting cultural milieu of post-Christian New England. In this presentation, you will hear the lessons I have learned walking with God through the crucible of transformation and how, now on the other side of this experience, I have learned how to effectively serve an evangelical institution in a polarized world.

A SWOT Analysis in Pursuit of Healthy Enrollment |
Andy Lynch, President & CEO of North Star Marketing
If you’ve been in the school world long enough, you’ve likely sat around a conference room table and contributed to a SWOT analysis. For the uninitiated, SWOT is an exercise used in strategic planning that helps leaders take stock of an organization’s current situation; it surfaces Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.

In this collaborative workshop, we will look at a SWOT analysis of what’s happening in Christian schools today across the US. As we step through the narrative, we’ll each complete a self- assessment and share our observations with our peers. We will then evaluate possibilities for initiatives that can help move our schools closer to healthy enrollment.

1:00pm Grace with Accountability: Navigating the Delicate Balance | Dan Simon, Executive Leadership Consultant, Coach, and Speaker
Finding the right balance between 'grace' and 'accountability' in discipline (and conflict in general) is a challenge in Christian Schools. In this session, we will address the potential obstacles that school leaders face working with students, staff, and parents and strategize how to institutionalize practices that prioritize Godly wisdom in order to maintain consistency, as well as order, in a culture of mutual respect and brotherly love.
