2020-2021 Teacher-to-Teacher Program

NCAIS will launch our revised Teacher-to-Teacher program in September 2020. The program will give NCAIS teachers the opportunity to virtually visit and discuss best practices with a teacher from another school.  Sign up will be open to all NCAIS teachers until September 30, 2020.

Teachers need to consider the following prior to signing up for the program:
  • Be willing and able to connect at least monthly with your partner (phone/email/Zoom)
  • Be approved by your administration to virtually host another NCAIS Teacher at least twice during the 2020-2021 school year during synchronous teaching. This could be while your school is in distance learning or when you are teaching in person and the partner teacher is observing via Zoom.  Due to COVID-19, we do not recommend in-person visits during the 2020-2021 school year.
  • Virtually visit partner NCAIS teacher twice during the 2020-2021 school year
  • Be open to exchanging ideas, thoughts, and resources
How does the program work? Simple enough. On October 5, 2020, NCAIS will share a contact list with everyone who signed up for the Teacher-to-Teacher program. The list will include school contact information, grade level(s) and subject area(s) for each participant. It will be up to each teacher to contact a teacher on the list with whom he or she would like to connect during the school year. Once a connection has been made, please indicate that information on the editable spreadsheet. This will let all the other teachers know who is still available.

****Please note - The participant list will only be shared with teachers who signed up for the program.

The cost to participate in the yearlong program is $25, which covers the administrative costs to coordinate, track participation, and issue CEUs. Teachers participating in the program will be awarded 20 continuing education contact hours at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. This opportunity is open to all NCAIS educators.
