Dr. Salim Idriss, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Duke University

Salim F. Idriss MD PhD is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Duke University and the Executive Co-Director of the Duke Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center. He is board-certified in pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology and is the Director of Pediatric Electrophysiology and the Pediatric Catheterization Laboratories at Duke. Dr Idriss has over 20 years of experience in basic and clinical research with specific interest in developmental electrophysiology, arrhythmia vulnerability, and prevention of sudden cardiac death in the young. He serves as the Co-Medical Director for Project ADAM North Carolina, a statewide program which prepares schools for sudden cardiac arrest events and heads the government-funded initiative to establish a national cardiac screening data warehouse through the Cardiac Safety Research Consortium.

 

 

Dr. Jordan Ezekian, senior Pediatric Cardiology Fellow at Duke 

Jordan E. Ezekian MD MPH is a senior Pediatric Cardiology Fellow at the Duke Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center and a board-certified pediatrician. She received her Master of Public Health degree from Western Kentucky University and her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Throughout pediatrics residency at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and during fellowship at Duke, she has been active in public health advocacy efforts at both the state and national levels. Dr. Ezekian serves as the Co-Medical Director for Project ADAM North Carolina and is passionate about making schools “Heart Safe”. She is a Physician Research Scholar with the Duke Clinical and Translational Institute and conducts translational research focusing on genetic causes of sudden cardiac death in children and young adults. Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr. Ezekian plans to pursue additional training in Pediatric Electrophysiology.

 

Teri Lavallee, PT, DPT, ATRIC
Teri has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 2010 and has been specializing in Pediatrics since 2011 including inpatient, outpatient, private clinic, a residential psychiatric facility, day care/preschool and home health care. She has taken continuing education in MNRI (Masgustova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration), Cascade DAFO bracing, pediatric movement disorders and aquatic therapy. Her love of children and problem solving as well as thinking “outside of the box” allows for her treatments to be personalized and focused on the child as a whole.

Teri was born and raised in New York and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she graduated with a degree in Exercise Science and a Minor in Psychology. She received her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C and has a certificate in Aquatic Therapy with a concentration in Children with Challenges from ATRI. She is currently working towards expanding the current Pediatrics Program with Ayrsley Town Rehab and recently established 2 new partnerships with local agencies that were not previously offering physical therapy intervention to their clientele.
