Contemporary learning theories feature students as the center of the learning process. Students are expected to be active and engaged in the consumption and use of information. They are expected to become effective and efficient at locating, evaluating, analyzing, and applying information to answer questions, solve problems, and satiate curiosity. This expectation underscores the necessity for students to develop information expertise. A major tenet of the school library media program is to help students learn these fundamental information skills. Our goal is to foster students’ abilities to achieve their own goals and expected outcomes. This session will focus on the use of screen-capture video to help students develop and refine information skills.
